Located in Manheim, Pennsylvania, David Dorman formed Scenatec Inc in 1998 with his then 20 years of experience of bringing dreams and concepts to reality. Educated in architectural design and structural engineering, Dave leads our team of highly talented designers, artists, fabricators and technicians and offers a friendly one-stop source of excellent craftsmanship. He possesses a unique perspective of theater, which includes a trained aptitude for aesthetic appearance, spatial utilization, mechanical movement systems, structural integrity, artistic form, and technical complexities.

To the right is a 20 foot motorized set piece for a musical celebrating America (engineered and fabricated by Dave while he was employed prior to the formation of Scenatec). The inside frame was welded steel with a ladder to accommodate 4 actors standing beside the acrylic flame. The exterior was made with sprayed foam, sculpted, hard-coated and painted.
